"The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein." Psalm 24:1
This Psalm is beautiful. As one of my favorite passages in the Holy Scriptures, I urge you to read it today!
It’s title in my Bible is, “THE KING OF GLORY AND HIS KINGDOM”. It focuses on the Author and Finisher of our faith.
The earth is our temporary dwelling. The Holy Place is God’s Worship Center. Our responsibility in approaching His dwelling has three elements here. First, we must have clean hands. Second we must have a pure heart. This reminds me to confess and live without bitterness, resentments, and hopelessness. And third, I’m also to not have idols before me: things that take priority over worship, prayer, study and pondering on God. (ouch!)
The worship of God is the best offering in life, now and forever. Blessings abound in praise and thanksgiving to God. David knew this. We would do well to practice this as well. Sounds a little like the devotional from last week!
If your “well of worship” before the Lord is in a season of drought…Lift up your heads, O you gates (your heart’s door) and be lifted up you everlasting doors (your eternal salvation in Christ) and the King of glory shall come in to you! Praise will come! Just as a reminder: Are your hands clean, heart pure, and no idols lurking around? This is a good reminder for us all every day, hour and minute…Until He comes for us so that we may finally enter His Worship Center! Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
Blessings, Dear Ones,
