Weekly Devotionals for 2007 – The Psalms
June - Week 26
"Do not drag me away with the wicked and with those who work iniquity. Who speak peace with their neighbors, while evil is in their hearts." Psalm 28:3
This hard plea of David before holy God comes with passion and concern. David so often demonstrated his concern about evil and the havoc it had on the world he lived in. His continual hope was found in God, even though the enemies of God were working overtime to destroy the works of God in him and those faithful to God.
David had true confidence in the final outcomes of life. The inheritance of saving faith would be forever to all who would believe in the LORD! (v.9)
David worshipped because he knew the end results…God wins and with victory comes the blessings that His people will share eternally. (v.9)
What trust (v.9) and confidence David had in the Beloved! May our trust and confidence be likewise in Christ alone, our Beloved Redeemer and Lord!
