WALK OF GRACE - My Spiritual Service of Worship
(Taken from the Walk of Grace Study by Sandra J. Mikler Davis)
February - Week 3: We have learned that grace is unearned, unmerited favor with God. It is the gift of Jesus, who died on the cross, bearing our sins. By His willing act of love and obedience to God, Jesus provided grace for us, the brethren. We are now members of His household, saints, and children of God. We live for Him by faith. APPLICATION: Am I experiencing the joy of fellowship with God today? Is there any darkness in my life that I need to confess? The most wonderful thing about being a Christian is knowing that my eternal future is secure. However, I am responsible to live a life that is pleasing to God. When I sin I need to confess to the Lord and then move forward. John tells us this in I John 1:9:
If I confess my sin God is faithful to forgive me my sin and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
I can be restored to walking in the light with Jesus, and this confession makes it possible. This is such a wonderful truth!!! Lord, this week help my testimony to be a pure one, with a confessed lifestyle. Sandra Davis, for the team at Women in Discipleship
