WALK OF GRACE - My Spiritual Service of Worship
(Taken from the Walk of Grace Study by Sandra J. Mikler Davis)
April - Week 4:
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Romans 12:1
Rejoice always. 1 Thessalonians 5:16
The word "praise" is used to give honor to God in light of His marvelous grace lavished upon us.
Praise, in Hebrew, has the idea of radiance, and this is ascribed only to God.
Praise is offered to God as an act of the will in obedience.
We praise the Father and His Son because of His gift of grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:5-6)
We are to be to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians. 1:12) APPLICATION: Praise is such a wonderful word. Radiance ascribed to God alone is quite amazing! How do these thoughts and the above passages help with my worship experience toward God today? I will choose to enjoy the thought of God’s Radiance in my walk this week.
