May - Week 4:

The Book of John tells us some amazing things about Jesus and His Father, and our Father. From chapter 17: 3- 4 we read:

And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only
true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. I glorified
Thee on the earth; having accomplished the work which I
had with Thee before the world was.

Again in the Book of Revelation, written by John, we see another amazing passage:

Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Thy ways, Thou King of the nations!
Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Thy name?
For Thou alone are holy;
For all the nations will come and worship before Thee,
For Thy righteous acts have been revealed.
Revelation 15:3b-4

Jesus came to reveal the Father. His whole life’s goal was to bring glory to His Father. God is glorious. He wants us to see His glory and honor Him. That is why He sent Jesus. Jesus will come again and this time everyone will see Him!

APPLICATION:

Is my life’s goal to bring glory to God?
How is God encouraging me in this area?

May our prayer be to always reflect His glory in everything about us.
