WALK OF GRACE - My Spiritual Service of Worship
(Taken from the Walk of Grace Study by Sandra J. Mikler Davis)
June - Week 1:
WHAT CAN WE DO?
- We CAN come to the throne of grace to receive mercy and grace to help us.
- We CAN enter God's courts with praise!
- We CAN come humbly, reverently, repentant, and cleansed.
Jesus our Savior greets us. We are the brethren. He is glory and praise. Heaven is filled with His splendor.
We see God’s glory in creation, in the Bible, in the love of other believers, and in a sinner who embraces the Savior.
God is all around us, in us, and far above us. He is worthy to be praised.
We partake of His glory through the amazing love of Christ Jesus!
APPLICATION PRAYER:
In Ephesians 1:15-23, we read about the glory that is ours, in the beloved, because of the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Read this prayer as it is paraphrased below with a personalized touch:
Lord, I pray that the faith given to me in Christ Jesus and your love for the brethren will grow more and more, and that I will abound in thanksgiving to God. I pray that You, the God and Father of Jesus my Savior, will give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of Yourself. I pray that the eyes of my heart may be enlightened, so I may know the hope of my calling and the true riches of my inheritance in Christ. I pray You will reveal to me more of the surpassing greatness of Your power and the awesome strength of Your might, which You exerted when You raised Jesus from the dead and placed Him at Your majestic right hand in heaven. You reign far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named in all ages! You put all things in subjection under Your feet and gave Jesus as head over all things to the church, His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
To God be the glory. Amen.
