He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
The Good Shepherd tends to His flock with ultimate care and keeping.
He warns us of trouble, but we need not worry or grow anxious when in the midst of it.
He is constantly on watch day and night, and His rod and staff will lead, admonish, and direct our waywardness.
He will turn away evil from our path, as we listen and obey Him.
He has lavished us with His bountiful banquet table of blessings, life, family, the Word, joy, and contentment.
Our lives are secure in Him, because He is the One in whom we trust, believe, and have faith.
Our lives overflow with His goodness, mercy, and lovingkindness.
Our days are filled with praising Him, and we look forward with great joy to an eternity of abundant life with our Great Shepherd:
