JEHOVAH SHALOM - Week Five

As we come to the last week in our focus of “The LORD of Peace”, let’s look at some passages of Scripture where Jesus spoke of true peace.

Luke 19:41-42:  ... if you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

John 14:27:  Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Ephesians 2:13-14:  But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He himself is our peace.

There are many passages in the Bible that speak of those who have, do, and will not accept the peace that is offered freely by God through Jesus Christ.

When wickedness abounds there is no peace! There will come a time when the “Age of Grace” will no longer be. Peace will be removed from the face of the earth, and there will be great tribulation.

Our good and great Jehovah Shalom knows us and has a plan for us to follow that is true and good, filled with peace.

His perfect peace awaits any man, woman or child who calls to Him with a sincere heart of repentance and faith. It is just that simple. He has abundance of peace to give, and it is just for the asking.

APPLICATION
:

"Holy Jehovah Shalom, I come before You as a sinner and ask that You forgive me of all the corrupt things I have said, thought and done.
I thank You that You gave to me the gift of Your Son, Jesus, as my Savior, and now I can have Your peace because of His sacrifice on the cross for me.
I surrender my selfish flesh to that of Your household and claim Your abundant storehouse of a future and hope for me.
Help me to be more like You. Please help me to put away selfish goals and direct my heart to Your way of peace in every area of my life today.
I pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, my Shepherd, King, and LORD. Amen."
