MARCH - WEEK TWO
Book of the Bible: I and II Kings Theme of the Book: Kings disappoint. Sin requires judgment and a lesson in human failure. When God is not honored, yet He remains faithful. Main Character(s): David, Solomon, Rehoboam, Jeroboam, Elijah, Ahab, Jezebel, Elisha, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Josiah, Zedekiah and Nebuchadnezzar The “Red Thread”: The prayer request of Solomon for "discernment to understand justice" granted to him by God reveals a "wisdom" that was unsurpassed until Jesus the Messiah came to earth. (1 Corinthians 1:30)

God said to him, "Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice, behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you."
