Book of the Bible: Obadiah Theme of the Book: Obadiah would prophesy a profound judgment on Edom, the nation whose origin was Esau Main Character(s): Obadiah, the Edomites The “Red Thread”: From this prophetic judgment comes that of Jesus, who acts as Judge over Israel's enemies and as Savior for Israel's final triumph. Key Verses: Obadiah 1:15,17 'For the day of the LORD draws near on all the nations.
