Book of the Bible: Malachi Theme of the Book: One last significant reminder to Israel - repent from sin For behold He is coming! Main Character(s): Malachi, the Priests, the People of Judah The “Red Thread”: Amidst a very disobedient people, Malachi prophecies that two messengers are coming: John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ Key Verses: Malachi 3:1 'Behold, I am going to send My messenger,
and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,' says the LORD of hosts. APPLICATION: Our day is much like that of Malachi. We are waiting for Messiah to return for us. Malachi was sent to warn the people to repent and turn back to God.
