This week we add Truth #3 and Truth #4 to our understanding of the Bible.

Just for review: (From Week 4)

TRUTH ONE = God Is Sovereign

TRUTH TWO = Mankind Is Lost In Sin

TRUTH THREE = Salvation

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith;

and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

How uniquely different this Salvation is! Religions and even some Christians profess a salvation contrary to Biblical Truth. Salvation is a Free Gift given by God and is a matter of the Faith God gives. No work involved at all….no boasting in our own salvation, except to humbly praise and worship God through Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

TRUTH FOUR = Infallible Evidence

Acts 2:22-24 and 36

‘Men of Israel, listen to these words:

Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God

with miracles and wonders and signs

which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know - this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death,

since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power…

Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain

that God has made Him both Lord and Christ - this Jesus whom you crucified.’
 

• Salvation is secure in the True Believer because Jesus is our Sin-Bearer
• Is this Free Gift of Salvation truly free in me today?
• What teaching contrary to this Free Gift Truth is holding you or someone you know back from enjoying this amazing Gift?
• What can you do about it today?
• Is the Light of Christ brightly shining in your heart today?
