WEEKLY DEVOTIONALS – 2011
The Bible – Absolute Truth – Week 9
 

Acts 13:48-49 
 
When the Gentiles heard this,

they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord;

and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

And the Word of the Lord was being spread

through the whole region.
 

TRUTH FIVE = God Does the Appointing In Salvation

God grants His gift of faith, salvation, into the heart of a person.
 
 
God is the Sovereign over salvation, not man.

God’s Word is His testimony of truth and eternal life.

If a person does not recognize this True Salvation, than the Giver of salvation has not planted this Salvation in their heart. It’s that simple!

      Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. - Romans 10:17
 
Jesus is the Life-Giver. We need to be His Ambassadors.

Remember the 2 Corinthians 5:20 passage that describes our role as Ambassadors:

      ... as though God were making an appeal through us ...

THOUGHTS TO PONDER THIS WEEK 

  • Salvation comes only through God and His Word.
  • People need to hear this Good News.
  • Ambassadors go into the world to share the blessing of their country.
    What are you doing to share Salvation and Heaven with those who need to know?
  • Many are seeking and searching for the Truth.
    How can you share the Gospel with someone else today?
