WEEKLY DEVOTIONALS – 2011
The Bible – Absolute Truth – Week 27 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
Revelation 3:19-20
Is Jesus real in your Life? The thought that Jesus is a God who desires a relationship with us is a unique and special gift. The religions of our world are impersonal, aloof and unreachable in nature and context. They each have their own way of trying to measure up to a “so-called” lofty eternity.
When I am asked, “What is your religion?” I come back with a kind response, “I have a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
I am a Christian! It comes down to this: Either I have a religion that is cold, unobtainable, out of reach, or I have a “relationship” with a Real Person, Jesus Christ. The very One, sent by God His Father, is the One who redeemed mankind to Himself. This Real Jesus was raised from the dead. He is God’s only begotten Son, my Savior!
The Reality is verifiable and lived out each Sunday. I heard a pastor preach on Resurrection Day who said a reliable truth that has me thrilled. He stated that each Sunday, as I attend Church, I am in fact verifying the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
After all, dear ones, this is the reason Sunday became the Lord’s Day! He is Risen! Hallelujah! Remember this next Sunday when you worship!
THOUGHTS TO PONDER THIS WEEK
- Is Jesus a reality in your life today?
- What specific action are you taking to prove this reality?
- How is your relationship with Jesus developing?
