The Sermon on the Mount – A Sermon Like No Other Week Five – Righteousness and Happiness Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (Matthew 5:6)
As Jesus taught the multitude He continued to point them to the way of true righteousness and the satisfaction that comes in knowing and obeying the truth. Jesus taught the clear truth of the true Gospel salvation and the fruitfulness of the truth that yields a hunger and thirst for His Word - the Bible. A Christian models this hunger and thirst and digs deeply in God’s Word in prayer. As the Christian grows in these areas, the experience of a sweet satisfaction in the Savior comes flooding into the heart and worship begins. Truth Four: A true disciple thirsts for the Word of God and pursues its truth in peaceful comfort.
Blessings to all,
