 The Sermon on the Mount – A Sermon Like No Other Week Seven Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8) Jesus, the Master Teacher, desires to point this hungry crowd to the way of true holiness and blessing. As King David discovered centuries earlier (Psalm 51) a clean heart was all the Lord desired. As Psalm 24:4 states – entering into true worship requires clean hands (repentance and forgiveness) and a pure heart. Jesus teaches us that true Christianity is found in loving God, crying out in repentance and faith, cleaning of heart and mind, being merciful and seeking to know if anything needs cleansing. With that comes the working power of the Holy Spirit to work in us a peaceable and loving heart for God. In this pursuit the blessedness of seeking God who is at work in me yields His reward ... Seeing God!
Truth Six: A pure heart needs to know God's power in salvation and the need to daily be cleansed from any impurities. (1 John 1:9) Desiring to and obeying His Truths. Blessings to all,
