The Sermon on the Mount – A Sermon Like No Other Week 28 – Righteousness and Human Relations For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Matthew 7:8
Jesus is urging these people to not give up in their continual prayers to Him. Verse 7 is the one we are all familiar with ... Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. These words are specifically spoken to the believers in their midst. Persistence in prayer is a key to our faith in action. The progression of asking, seeking, and knocking, demonstrate genuine need for the Lord and the Father promises to answer in His way ... which is the good way. (Refer to verses 7-11) Truth 27: A persistent prayer life will yield God’s good for the faithful follower of Jesus.
Blessings to all,
