One final thought before we close out this year. What Jesus taught on that Mountain so long ago still stands true today! His teaching is eternal and sure. His words are life and peace. True justice, mercy and truth remain in play. It’s the same today as in Jesus day. Man thinking he knows better than God is just not so! The truth of Scripture will always prove accurate and will stand the test of time. How do I know? He tells me: The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. Who is the LORD of hosts? Isaiah knew and he stated so: Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory ... woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Isaiah 6:3,5
As we conclude 2014, let me encourage you. This King Jesus is in full control of all things and He is ready to come again to earth to establish His kingdom in power, authority with justice, and peace. Let us be ready when He comes, keep short accounts of sin and rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks ... Amen, come Lord Jesus!
