A Faithful Witness - Week Seven Now do not be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life....God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance. Genesis 45:5,7
When I think about family and sibling rivalry the amazing true story of Joseph and his brothers came to mind. Joseph was a favorite for sure...but that does not diminish his Faithful Witness in history! God always has a plan for His faithful children. Joseph was young but he demonstrated amazing faith through years of being rejected, sold into slavery, being falsely accused, imprisoned, and forgotten. Yet he wasn’t forgotten by God and he knew he was being protected. God revealed to him his plan...as we see in the above passage of Scripture. He was a true role model. A faithful witness is forgiving and life giving. What might you be facing that requires this kind of faithful witness? Joseph was in his testing season for at least 15 years...and he came forth victorious. Will we?
Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:24,23
