A Faithful Witness - Week Twenty-Six Shadrach, Meshack and Abed-nego replied to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning the matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up. Daniel 3:16-18 This account of three young men yields the faith that God desires. Their answer to the king was a non hesitant NO! We will not worship images or idols. Their faithful witness was sure. Whether by life or by death they only worshipped and served the one true God! How refreshing to know that youth followers of Christ are documented in Scripture. As a faithful witness we see these three young men willing to die for their faith in God alone.
Challenges to our faith will come ... what will be our stand? These men did not have to think about their decision. They were confident about their decision even unto death.
