A Faithful Witness - Week Thirty-Eight Jesus, therefore six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. John 12:1-3
It is a lovely thing to see harmony in a home. The union of sisters and brothers who are in Christ working in harmony and ministry bring delight and blessing upon the Godhead. Mary, Martha and Lazarus are a good example. Their family history is amazing and profitable. They each demonstrate Godliness in their worship and their service. Mary listens (Luke 10:42), Martha confesses Jesus (John 11:24-27), and Lazarus invites Jesus (John 12:1-2). Their devotion to the Savior is timely and fragrant. Their faithful witness rings through the ages as a testimony of love and gratitude to the Messiah. Family harmony in the Christian community is essential. To have a Christian family and a Christian community is a double blessing. I praise God for my Christian family and for my Christian community, each of you! May we rejoice united in one Savior and Lord and share this gift with the needy world around us! :-)
Blessings to all,
