A Faithful Witness - Week Forty-Seven James, a bond servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ ... James 1:12 And recognizing the grace that had been given to Paul, James, Peter and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to Paul and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship ... Galatians 2:9
This year we have been observing the many ways a Faithful Witness can be recognized. This week we see James. This faithful witness happens to be a half brother to Jesus. His salvation story begins after Jesus is resurrected. The amazing and heartwarming truth of Jesus’ Resurrection is pivotal in our own salvation. Without the resurrection we would all be doomed. James was a faithful witness to this true event. It transformed his life. His Epistle to the 12 tribes is testimony to the power of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. James became an Elder in the 1st church. His teaching on “godly behavior” and being obedient to the Word of God are excellent reminders of true Christian Behavior. His legacy is a call for all of us to follow.
Blessings to all,
