A Faithful Witness - Week Forty-Nine

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. Hebrews 11:1,2

As we prepare for the celebration of Christ’s birth, I’m reminded of the extreme cost of this amazing Gospel of Christ. From the beginning of time we see God establishing His Story. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the Word of God ... John 1. From Hebrews 11 we see a lineage of faithful witnesses who lived by faith without seeing but believing the true Gospel of Jesus our Messiah and Savior. At extreme cost these people lived by faith in the future 1st coming of Jesus which we are now celebrating. Their Hope was in the coming Messiah and His message of redemption and His coming again. As we ponder the fulfillment of Christ’s 1st birth, may we remember to celebrate the awesome Hope of His 2nd coming and the ushering in of His glorious Kingdom!
Amen, come Lord Jesus.
