Godly Wisdom - 2016
Week Eight

For the Word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, the discernment of the discerning I will thwart. Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1 Corinthians 1:18-20

Consider this fact. No human wisdom will ever save anyone from the wrath of God! Human effort in all its diversity and strength is no match to the Power of God. His Wisdom is understood in the Word of the Cross. Jesus is the One who saves. His perfect life was given freely for me and my sin. This is the wonder and mystery revealed for those who by faith believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, alone!
Lord, help us to grasp the truth of the Cross and the sacrifice Jesus gave to take my sin on Himself and exchange it for His righteousness on my behalf ... Hallelujah, Amen.
