Godly Wisdom - 2016
Week Sixteen

My son, IF you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding; For IF you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; IF you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5

How does one discern the FEAR OF THE LORD? This passage tells us. 1) Receive the Word of God. 2) Treasure the Word of God. 3) Listen to what it says. 4) Take what is said to heart (surrender). 5) With passion and hunger, read, study and apply God's Word to your life. 6) Place this as your 1st priority in life! THEN you will begin the journey of true humility, faith, trust and obedience yielding the reverential FEAR of the Lord! Your spiritual eyes will be open to discern righteousness and justice, equity and every good course and discretion will guard you (v.9-11) and understanding will watch over you!

Help us, Lord, to desire such amazing truth from You. Amen.
