Week Twenty-Four

Thus you shall say to them, the gods that did not make heaven and earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens. He who made the earth by His power, who established the world by His wisdom; and by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens...
Jeremiah 10:11,22

I find it curious for so many in our science filled universities, schools, industries, and media to be absolutely sold out to the notion that there is a worldly answer to the vast universe. One thing I rather enjoy is looking at nature (the plants, flowers, creatures, starry hosts) and reflect on how overwhelmingly complex just one single flower, creature, the DNA really is. As I read Jeremiah I think...mankind has been searching for answers congruent with the flesh since the fall of man! God is amazingly accurate in this verse. The gods of man's design...human mind thinking is going to perish. God spoke "His World" into existence. (Genesis 1:1; John 1)
As I observe the new discoveries of our world I am awed at God's awesome creative flair. He did this for mankind to enjoy not to worship!
Help us Lord to appreciate the discoveries of Your vast universe and give You all glory in its beauty and complexity. You are indeed the all wise God! Amen.
