Week Twenty-Nine

For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh...but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong...so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption...
1 Corinthians 1:26, 30

True wisdom only comes from God to the elect, His Chosen Ones. Consider this truth: The wisdom of God, in part, resides in the believer. It comes through salvation in Jesus Christ. Imparted righteousness comes as well. Included in this combined miracle is sanctification - living a God pleasing life and Redemption - the joy of being God's child. All this has come from the Hand of God alone in Christ alone. And all this for His Glory. Help us Lord appreciate your gift to us and the opportunity to live lives honoring to You, for Your glory. Amen
