Godly Wisdom - 2016
Week Thirty-Two

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he musts become foolish, so that he many become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God...
1 Corinthians 3:18-19a

In our culture and diverse society much of the riches, status and security of the nation is placed on the wisdom of the human mind. Paul is pointing out to the believers in Corinth, that this wisdom is foolishness. The deception is evident. It was then and it is today! Beware of worldly wise ideas! Paul, before his salvation, was a good example of worldly wise. He was religious to the extreme. He was pious and devoted. He was praised and admired, and he was lost! When he was saved, his worldly wise life died! His new life was born into poverty, hardship, and persecution, yet he was rich in Christ and his life was fruitful and abundant because his focus was Christ crucified and Christ glorified. What will our legacy reveal?
Help us Lord live for You and not for foolishness. Amen.
