Godly Wisdom - 2016 Week Thirty-Eight
Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the first born of his flock and of the fat portion. The LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. Genesis 4:2b-5a
The lesson of Cain and Abel is a simple one. Since the beginning of time, God had ordained a plan for Redemption. It began with His sacrifice of an animal for Adam and Eve (chapter 3:20). God warned Cain when he became angry (4:6-7). But Cain refused, and he killed his brother. It's simply a matter of deciding to follow God's way or man's way! God knows all and has given us His Plan and Pathway. What will we choose ... His way leading to Life, or Cain's pathway leading to death? God's Word is truth from cover to cover. Help us Lord to not compromise the way of truth! Keep us Wise in Your Truth today. Amen.
May the Lord bless each of you,
