Godly Wisdom - 2016 Week Forty-Nine
Now at that time Mary arose and went in a hurry to the hill country, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; ... and Mary stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her home. - Luke 1:39-41a
At this time in history we see several significant events occur together. Elizabeth is pregnant with John the Baptist. Mary has become pregnant by the Holy Spirit and being informed by an angel that her relative Elizabeth is also pregnant gives her encouragement. Mary, young, and awed by the supernatural circumstances she is facing, goes to see Elizabeth, someone she can share with and seek wisdom from. It is a beautiful reminder to all of us just how personally God cares about the details of our lives. These two pregnant women (miracles both) had three months to share, pray, ponder and prepare for whatever the future would bring. As we pray and ponder this Christmas Season may the Lord give us boldness to be ready to share in the Miracle of Salvation especially for that one who is in need the most! Help us Lord to profess Your Name and live victoriously today! Amen.
Blessings to all,
