Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 9
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart. Psalm 119:1-2
In the study Pathway to Holiness, I introduce - in week 8, two types of Christians, walking Christians and talking Christians. As a professing Christian, it is significant to me to be a careful observer and to examine and verify the conduct of my life by the truth I bear within! If I say one thing and then demonstrate in my actions something else this would demonstrate a divided heart. Conduct therefore is very revealing in the life of one who professes to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Psalm 119 speaks of blessing. As a follower of God he recognized that knowing God's laws and walking (taking action to obey) is the way of blessing. He also reveals that taking action to obey from a pure heart is the way of true blessing indeed! It is desiring obedience out of love for God and not duty that yields blessing. May we also have this desire to honor God with a whole heart!
From my heart to yours,
