Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 11
The life of a Christian should and will reflect the life of Christ. Walkingin a Godly manner is the way of true righteousness. Paul, writing to Titus, his true son in the faith (Titus 1:4) instructing him with these words:
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us (the Christian) to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us (Christians) to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works. Our Christian Character is founded in Christ. (See Titus 2:11-14) Therefore our Conduct is a training exercise in the renouncing of ungodly behavior and demonstrating Godly behavior and God honoring deeds toward everyone with the hope of His soon return! Help us Lord to make You shine in our daily conduct as we anticipate Your soon return. Amen.
From my heart to yours,
