To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae ... just as you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf.
Colossians 1:2a,7

The word faithful here is used exclusively of believers in the New Testament. Paul describes this faithfulness in Colossians 1:4-5: since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel...

Being faithful means having faith in Christ Jesus and loving the brethren from your heart. It's also holding on with true hope by knowing and living the true Gospel message ... looking forward to Christ's return ...

Lord help me to be Your faithful servant and give me courage to share with others today this eternal and holy truth. Amen.
