Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 18
Listen to the testimony of Paul as he shares from his heart to Timothy, a young man appointed to preach the Gospel. I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me in service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:12-14
The Apostle Paul knew religion well. He was a Jew, and he practiced his Jewish faith with passion. Yet his religion did not save him. He describes his lost condition clearly. Yet it was God, in His mercy, that saved Paul. This is God's role with all of us. How do we demonstrate our faithfulness and thankfulness to God for His amazing Grace abundantly poured upon us through His Son?
Help me Lord to value above all this Grace of Yours poured upon me through Christ Jesus. To You be the Glory! Amen.
From my heart to yours,
Sandra J. Mikler Davis for the team at Women in Discipleship P.O. Box 694 - Goldenrod, FL 32733 sandydaviswid@earthlink.net / womenindiscipleship.org
