Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 29
Professing faith in Christ alone can be challenging. All over the world we are witnessing a persecution of Christians like no other time in history. Why is there such hatred of Christ followers? In Paul’s day, he witnessed persecution from religious folks and from pagans alike. Nothing has changed. In 2 Corinthians 6:1-10, Paul gives testimony of his persecution for the true Gospel.
We are treated as imposters, and yet are true, as unknown, and yet well known, as dying, and behold we live, as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything. (v.8-10) A Christian has Character that is from Christ. He is the One who strengthens us to be His witnesses. Help us today to show true Character in the Conduct of our speech and actions, O Lord. Amen.
From my heart to yours,
