Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 31
As a Christian, living in in this world, I’m called to be active in the exercise of guarding the Gospel. Being on guard and actively anticipating Christ’s return are essential aspects of my Christian duty.
Jesus teaches us these truths in Luke 12:35-37. Listen to His words: Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at the table, and he will come and serve them. We witnessed Jesus being a servant at the Last Supper but have you considered that He once again will be such to His own in the eternal kingdom ... Food to ponder indeed! Help us to be faithful and true to You, Lord. Amen.
From my heart to yours,
Sandra J. Mikler Davis for the team at Women in Discipleship P.O. Box 694 - Goldenrod, FL 32733 sandydaviswid@earthlink.net / womenindiscipleship.org
