Weekly Devotional - Week 35

Christian Character and Conduct has an overarching theme. As a Christian, I am to love God, His Word and - by His Spirit living in me - I am to be daily tuned toward His leading. Colossians 1:9c and 10 states: That you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy.

The key to a fruitful life has one supreme and important element: being tuned into His leading! Being filled with God's knowledge and His will for my life! This truth is contrary to the "it’s all about me" society we live in today. Faithfulness, God's way - tuned into His powerful guidance and leading - yields His joy even in the hard places.

Help us Lord to put away the "me" thinking and put on Your Thinking, by the power of Your Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
