Christian Character & Conduct - 2017 Weekly Devotional - Week 46
As we draw closer to the conclusion of this series of devotionals, we now approach a sensitive topic in our Christian Character and Conduct Study. Listen to the apostle Paul from Galatians 6:12: Brethren, if a man (woman) is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
True believers are called to walk in integrity, pure in heart and mind and filled with wisdom and the Holy Spirit! The qualities listed are spiritual, gentleness and retrospective. It’s essential for the clean hands and pure hearted Christian to be ready and sensitive to those who are in trouble, either in sin or in sorrow. Prayer and a helping hand go a long way to aid the needy Christian. A warning also exists ... be careful so as not to stumble into their burden or sin! Much prayer and Holy Spirit guidance is needed to help these folks. Help us Lord to be sensitive to the needy in our midst. Amen.
From my heart to yours,
