The Process of Holiness
Week 12

A Christian has the privilege to commune with Holy God! Prayer is the profound privilege for all true believers. One duty for believers is recognizing that we have a new nature. The old nature is dead and passed away. Listen to Colossians 3:9-10:
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self (nature) with its practices and have put on the new self (nature), which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its Creator.

My new nature is being renewed daily by God’s gift of grace. I now need only confess the sins that my flesh (humanness) commits. Listen to 1 John 1:9:
If I confess my sins, He (God) is faithful and righteous to forgive my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

Confession is admitting to God that I need His daily cleaning to walk the pathway of holiness. Jesus is my Redeemer and Shepherd. He keeps me on His pathway by the power of the Holy Spirit, daily training and admonishing me. Daily confession keeps me clean before Him. Praise be to God!
