Scripture Living
The Process of Holiness
Week Twenty-One

The Bible is awesome and fully inspired by God! Consider this ... there are 39 Old Testament Books and 27 New Testament Books. These books were penned by at least 36 men over 16 centuries. The Jews recognized the books of the Old Testament as "inspired by God." The New Testament Books were written by men who had association with Jesus Christ. There are over 4,000 known manuscripts of the Bible.
The Dead Sea Scrolls confirm the later manuscripts.
The Hebrew writer tells us the benefit of the Scripture when he wrote in the Book of Hebrews these words:
For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joint, and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from His sight. Hebrews 4:12-13a

It is clear from this Scripture passage that the Word of God is a Must Read and essential to the Christian Faith. May we each have a deeper hunger for His Word and meditate upon it!
From my heart to yours,
Sandra J. Mikler Davis, Director
