As believers in Christ, we sometime will face various trials and persecutions. In America today, being Christian can be challenging and even dangerous.
Being "set apart" unto God doesn’t mean that we hide our faith. What it does speak to is a lifestyle of genuine love, care and hope born from the life of Christ.
God's Word gives us a glimpse into how we are to respond to persecution whether in word or deed.
Listen: Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice, insofar as you share Christ’s suffering, that you may also rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 1 Peter 4:12-14. Wow! These are comforting words when the assaults come in.
Help us Lord to bear these testings. Amen..
From my heart to yours,
