Last week one of the thoughts presented pointed to a verse I have long pondered and taken very seriously. It is found in 2 Timothy 2:20-21. Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay and some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the Master of the house, ready for every good work.
To be useful, one must be pure. The issue is sin. To be useful, one must purge the sin. It needs cleansing and purifying. God can only use those who are truly His. Those who are walking with clean hands and a pure heart. (Psalm 24:4)
Help us Lord to be useful as pure vessels for Your honor today and every day. Amen.
From my heart to yours,
