Our Hope in Christ
Week Five - 2019

We have a wonderful future to ponder. We also have a duty to perform. Our salvation is secure. It’s our free Gift! We now need to live lives of HOPEFUL Waiting. How? Peter, the apostle tells us in 1 Peter 1: 13-16. Listen to his words.

Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your HOPE fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be confirmed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, you shall be holy, for I am holy!

I often ask myself when I need to make a choice over something: Is this earthly wise or heavenly wise? Am I collecting earthly treasures or do I seek to honor God for His Glory? Our focus can either be directed in a holy way or an earthly way.

Lord, help us to honor You as we wait with certainty of Your return. Amen
