The Book of Romans is filled with amazing truths that tie so much of the Old Testament into our historical, inerrant, Gospel truths. Listen to the Apostle Paul describing truth about the Gentiles (non-Jews) becoming part of the family of God. For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised (Jews) to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy. As it is written, therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles, and sing to Your name. (see 2 Samuel 22:55) And again it is said: Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people. (Deuteronomy 32:43) And again Praise the Lord all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples extol Him. (Psalm 117:1) Isaiah said: The root of Jesse will come even He who arises to rule the Gentiles; in Him will the Gentiles HOPE! (Isaiah 11:10) We see all these references in Romans 15:8-12.
Amazing great news to see the unfolding of God’s Plan for us who are Gentiles! We indeed rejoice in Christ who is our HOPE and GLORY!
