Devotionals 2020 The Root of Righteousness Week Ten
Another confirmation of true faith comes again in Romans 4:13-15. As you read, consider the fact that Abraham was considered Righteous by faith before the Law came in the days of Moses. Also consider this, the Law is God’s mark of perfection. Mankind is sinful, therefore the Law is useful for us to point to our need of a Redeemer who lived perfectly and thus fulfilled the Law, which is what no human can do!
For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the Righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation. (read verses 16-25) for more verification. The Scripture is very clear! Thoughts to ponder this week!
