Devotionals 2020 The Root of Righteousness Week Thirteen
Paul continues to teach true believers the faith that accompanies belief in Jesus Christ. From Romans 6:17-19 Paul states these words: But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and having been set free from sin, have become slaves to Righteousness. And again in Romans 6:22-23 he states: But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and it ends in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
True faith in Christ Jesus leads to obedience to Him (sanctification) and eternal life with the Lord! Thank you, Jesus for saving me! You are my True Root of Righteousness! Amen.
