The Root of Righteousness
Week 26

The Proverbs address so many issues that aid the family of God in how to live in a crooked world. From Proverbs 11:4-6 we see truth that should challenge all of us to live lives God’s way.

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but Righteousness delivers from death. The Righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness. The Righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lust...(v.8) The Righteous is delivered from trouble, and the wicked walks into it instead.

As Christians we can be assured because of the Root of Righteousness – our Savior, Jesus Christ, has everything worked out for us. We need to hold on to Him by faith and walk hand in hand according to His will.

Help us Lord to be faithful. Amen.
