The Root of Righteousness
Week 29

As a follow-up from last week's Devotional (2 Timothy 3:16-17) there is a wonderful promise for all true believers in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul states in 2 Timothy 4:8 these amazing words:

Finally, there is laid up for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to All who have loved His appearing.

The above verse gives the happy ending for the Christian of our glorification when we will finally receive Christ's righteousness perfected in us – when we enter into His glorious heaven!

We now have imputed righteousness of Christ (Justification – Romans 4:6,11). We have this practical Righteousness during our time of salvation. (See Ephesians 5:9 and 1 Peter 2:24)

This is a powerful truth to ponder and praise God for as we live for Him!
