The Root of Righteousness
Week 34

One of my most go-to verses in Scripture is found in James 1:19-20. It is packed with powerful reminders to live in the light of the love of Jesus.

Know this, my beloved brothers; let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore, put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your soul.

These words remind me to pick up the Bible, read it, study it, apply it to everything in my life. Knowing God’s will is knowing His Word! My life is to exemplify godliness, not sinfulness. Help me Lord to be a doer of Your Word and not just a hearer (James 1:22) AMEN.
