The Root of Righteousness
Week 37

Genuine faith has a responsible element for all true believers. As we saw last week, Abraham had an active faith in his obedience to do what God asked him to do. Listen again to the Apostle James: Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom ... But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
James 3:13, 17-18.

Christians are Light in a dark world. As we live actively in our faith, by obedience, we demonstrate faith that is yielding a harvest of righteousness. This is active faith and light! Help us Lord to live righteously today! Amen.
